Julie Orr is a Los Angeles-based artist, educator, and entrepreneur with a passion for fostering creativity. Originally from the Boston area, Julie earned her Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art from Kenyon College before moving to Los Angeles, where she built a successful career as an Art Director and Set Decorator. Her work on major Hollywood productions has included collaborations with MTV, Bravo, ABC, BET, Warner Brothers, and artists like Snoop Dogg and Academy Award-winning group The Swell Season.

Driven by a desire to return to her artistic roots, Julie earned her Master of Fine Arts from Claremont Graduate University in 2013. Following graduation, she dedicated herself to teaching art to students of all ages, emphasizing both traditional techniques and experimental creativity. In 2016, Julie launched Art Lessons LA, a thriving mobile art school offering luxury art classes, workshops, and events throughout the Los Angeles area.

Julie’s own artwork reflects a vibrant neon aesthetic and pop-art style, exploring themes of escapism through playful subjects like tennis, aliens, and technology. Whether designing Hollywood sets, painting bold and imaginative works, or inspiring students, Julie’s mission remains the same: to create and cultivate art that sparks joy, curiosity, and self-expression.
