 know about is acrylic gesso which is a
 product that you put underneath oil
 paint any canvas that you buy at
 Michael&amp;#39;s or efflux is gonna be pre
 primed with gesso but if you&amp;#39;re making
 big canvases on your own or making your
 own canvasses then you you don&amp;#39;t have a
 pre primed canvas surface so you have to
 take regular canvas and put this on it
 this is liquitex there&amp;#39;s another brand
 they carry Michael&amp;#39;s that in my
 experience tends to mess with the paint
 so I always recommend this version
 having this underneath your oil painting
 is essential to having the oil act how
 it&amp;#39;s expected to act you can&amp;#39;t
 necessarily just paint on plain canvas
 this is pretty cheap and if you&amp;#39;re
 making your own canvases you save a lot
 of money that way so definitely
