Sullivans Seam Ripper is amazing because it has these little heads that pop off. It also comes with two versions of the head. It comes with the seam ripper head which is hooked and a buttonhole opener head that is flat to help you create a buttonhole on your sewing machine.

I would recommend the Sullivans Seam Ripper for any level of sewer. As a beginner you’re most likely going to make some mistakes so you will need to rip a lot of seams. 

With most seam rippers you can’t refresh the razor which usually becomes dull in five or six uses. However, with the Sullivans Seam Ripper, you can change the razor head and you can continue to use it over and over again.
