Cierra Smith

Cierra Smith is a business owner, digital marketing specialist, former professional athlete and coach. Mountain biking with her father and grandfather since the age of eight and racing at age 10, Cierra spent ten years racing professionally. Those years of athletic commitment, travel, and making connections have made a huge impact and launched her into a successful career where she is now helping many others. Alternating travel and racing while a student, Cierra enjoyed a unique and busy high school experience. An avid bike racer, her grandfather was a huge inspiration. He saw her potential, and started taking classes so he could serve as team mechanic. At the time, there weren't many girls in professional mountain bike racing, and now Cierra is glad to see more girls choosing cycling as their sport. She eventually took a break from racing to go to college, where she studied cultural anthropology and digital marketing. Because Cierra is an engaging, energetic person, she made numerous connections, and one of these turned into a job opportunity in digital marketing. In 2023, she launched Hey Buddy Social. Since then, referrals and word of mouth have allowed her to manage digital marketing campaigns for many brands and creators. Cierra is still passionate about cycling and loves the way it infuses her with a sense of childlike freedom. She enjoys coaching young women and helping them reach their potential in the sport she loves. She also wants to communicate to people of all ages that finding something you enjoy doing outdoors is healthy for body and soul. A lifelong resident of Reno, Nevada, Cierra loves surrounding herself with nature all year round. In her free time, she enjoys cycling alone, with friends, or with her miniature dachshund, Noodle, who enjoys riding in a backpack.
