Kat Night is a composer, music producer, and sound designer specializing in electronic music, game audio, and immersive sound. She serves as faculty at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music (SFCM), where she teaches music technology and manages the TAC Studios. She is also the co-founder of F9 Studio, a multimedia production company focused on music, game audio, and creative content. Kat earned a Bachelor of Music in Technology and Applied Composition from SFCM in 2023. During her studies, she was awarded the AIAS WomenIn Scholarship from the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences, where she was mentored by Grammy-nominated video game composer Austin Wintory. She has also been a Grammy U mentee, studying surround audio under mastering engineer Michael Romanowski and music publishing with Brian "BT" Gibbs of Skyline Entertainment. Her professional credits include voice editing on The Sims 4 for EA Games and original compositions for immersive live performances featuring Dolby Atmos and ambisonic audio. She is a member of the Recording Academy, BMI, and the Game Audio Network Guild. Originally from Wisconsin, Kat is based in the San Francisco Bay Area and is passionate about gaming, dance, and animal welfare.
