Keisha Howard is an award-winning developer advocate, helping individuals and companies harness the positive power of gaming. As the Founder of Sugar Gamers and Blaze Breakers, LLC, Keisha is a community builder, behavioral expert, and gaming visionary. While gaming with her brother in the 1990s, Keisha had no idea that video games would propel her into a highly successful career. She earned her degree in organizational/ relational communications and psychology from DePaul University, then gained experience in the gaming and marketing industries. 

In 2009, she launched Sugar Gamers to connect with the gaming and tech communities and advise companies on developing innovative, inclusive products tailored to their audiences. Being a future-focused advisor, Keisha has consulted for big names like Google, Microsoft, Meta, and Logitech. She is also passionate about discovering ways to preserve the authenticity of gaming and keep it human-centered. 

The winner of many industry awards and a TEDx speaker, Keisha has been inducted into the International Video Game Hall of Fame and recently accepted the 2024 Young Professional Award from the Chicago Council on Science and Technology. In her free time, Keisha enjoys e-biking, hiking, being outdoors, and playing immersive sims.
