Nick Branchina is a professional golfer, business owner, and youth golf instructor. He is the founder of Nomadic Athlete and NB Golf, LLC.
While growing up in New Jersey, Nick played many sports, focusing on hockey and golf. His love for golf grew, as he consistently improved his game. In 2015, he enrolled at Trinity College in Hartford, CT, and joined the golf team. Throughout college, he continued to excel at golf and participated in several tournaments. Nick graduated in 2019 with a B.S. in Economics and decided to pursue a career in professional golf. Along with two friends and encouragement from his coach, Nick moved to Florida to begin life as a professional golfer.
Currently, Nick’s schedule is packed with Q-School, the annual qualifying tournaments for leading golf tours, including the PGA and European Tours. Working hard and traveling 10-12 weeks out of the year, he is driven to achieve full status as a professional golfer. Recently, Nick converted his Jeep Wrangler into a camper van, with help from his wife’s grandfather. He enjoys staying at campgrounds, finding it more comfortable and less expensive than staying at hotels.
Nick’s strong work ethic and eagerness to learn have paid off. His advice for anyone considering the life of a professional athlete is: “Be yourself. It’s easy to look around, see success, and compare yourself. It takes time; keep learning.”
Nick supports organizations that provide help for military families and veterans, and he has donated many hours coaching enthusiastic young golfers. Nick lives in Indiana with his wife and daughter and enjoys spending his free time with the family.
